I love banana bread, and I love pancakes, so I just had to try this recipe! I mean, what could be better than two breakfast treats in one?

These were pretty tasty! I love that they included buttermilk and cinnamon (my favorite spice of all time).
Next time I will probably cut down on the baking soda a little because I'm not a big fan of the bitter flavor it can lend to baked goods, but it does help make the pancakes nice and fluffy!

The banana flavor was delicious, I might even add extra banana next time (I like banana bread super banana-y). I think some walnuts would be tasty in these, too, if you're into that sort of thing.

They were pretty easy to make, taking no longer than any other pancakes from scratch, and would be a perfect weekend breakfast. They would also be a sneaky way to get picky kids to eat some fruit! ;)

Final rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Give this a try the next time you're in the mood for banana bread but don't feel like waiting for it to bake!

Have you tried this recipe? Do you agree with my rating?

Have time to bake a breakfast bread? Try this moist and delicious Cranberry Orange Bread with Oats and Pecans.
