Baking Shapes: Identifying and Classifying 2D Shapes

I told you in my last post that I have fallen in love with Boom Cards. In case you haven't heard of them, they are digital task cards that are interactive and super fun!

This game is all about 2D shapes. It covers classifying shapes by number of sides or vertices...

...or the lack thereof.

It covers identifying 2D shapes by name.

It also has students identify whether shapes are opened or closed.

This activity makes a wonderful review after a unit on shapes, and it makes perfect independent center work. As with my other Boom decks, this includes optional audio directions on each slide so even your pre-readers can be truly independent.
No-print, no-prep, but still engaging and meaningful--it doesn't get better than that for centers!

You can click here to check out a free playable preview to test it out for yourself. If you're ready to purchase, Baking 2D Shapes can be found here in my TPT store! I know your students will love it as much as mine did--after all, what's not to love about cookies?

Keep teaching with heart and passion!
